Giving Back Through My Art

Rugby has given me so many wonderful memories, friendships and opportunities over the years, and being able to use my artwork to support good causes has always been incredibly important to me.

Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to help raise funds for a wide variety of charities, foundations, community causes and personal fundraising campaigns. On selected occasions, artwork or prints have been made available specifically to support auctions, raffles and fundraising events.

These have included, to name just a few, Wooden Spoon, the Matt Hampson Foundation, #4ED, Help for Heroes, My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, Movember, LATCH Welsh Children’s Cancer Charity and the OurJay Foundation, alongside many other wonderful causes.

There are far too many to list them all, and each one has its own story.

Some support children and families. Others help people living with serious illness or life-changing injuries. Some are deeply personal causes within local communities, while others are national charities doing incredible work.

That variety is part of what makes this side of my work so special, and I’m proud that my artwork has been able to play a small part in helping raise funds and awareness for causes that mean so much to so many people.

For me, the paintings have always been about more than capturing great players and unforgettable moments in rugby. They are about the people, the stories and the connections behind those moments too.

If one of my paintings or prints can help raise awareness, support fundraising, bring people together or make even a small difference to a worthwhile cause, then that is something I am incredibly proud to be a part of.

Giving back through my art is not something I see as separate from the work I create.

It is part of what makes the work meaningful.
